posted in Dish News |

We are pleased to announce that DISH Network’s “DVR Conversion” feature for model ViP211 and ViP211k receivers is available! The DVR Conversion feature offers customers the ability to convert their single-tuner model ViP211 and ViP211k receiver into a DVR by connecting it to a compatible USB 2.0 external hard drive through the receiver’s USB port. The DVR Conversion feature was honored with an International CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

With the purchase of an eligible external hard drive and payment of a one-time activation fee of $39.99, DISH Network customers will be able to add DVR functionality to their model ViP211 and ViP211k receivers! Customers may request to activate an external hard drive on their account by calling the DISH Network Customer Service Center at 1-888-241-2205 after the external hard drive has been installed.
