One of the more common DVR receivers is the DuoDVR™ ViP 722 systems which allows subscribers to schedule recordings on DVRs in two separate rooms simultaneously. One of the key features is being able to pause a recording in one room and pick up right where you left off in a different room.

(Read more: DISH Network Slingloaded DVR Receiver)

With the DuoDVR™ ViP 722 Receiver, viewers can record up to 350 hours of programming and use the USB portal to connect a DVR to an external hard drive, allowing the user to record additional entertainment from movies to sports and other programming on television. Be sure to check out the YouTube video below for even more DuoDVR features and tips – plus learn how it can save you money just by upgrading your DVR system.

Sometimes it can be frustrating when the signal on your television set goes out, especially if it’s right in the middle of a March Madness tournament game. Before you get too worked up and call your local DISH Network serviceman to come out and “fix your TV” there’s a few easy steps you can take to make sure your satellite TV system is working properly.

If you are missing a satellite signal on your TV, you can try pressing the ‘SAT’ button located near the top of your remote control – this will put the TV back in satellite mode. You might also want to check to make sure that your cable connection is tight and secure on your receiver’s back end.

If you’re having remote control issues and seem to be unable to switch between channels and make basic functions on your TV work, such as turning it on or off, then you maybe need to replace the batteries. It’s best to replace them every so often just to be sure that you don’t run into that inconvenience in the future.

Sometimes your DISH receiver has been working so hard that your TV screen freezes, goes blank or even makes that loud noise when it gets fuzzy. You can try resetting your receiver by pressing the ‘Reset’ button on the actual receiver box itself. You’ll also want to take note of which channel or input you have your TV set to (channel 3 in the room with the receiver or channel 60 or 73 for rooms without a receiver). For more information on DISH Network receivers visit authorized retailer DISH Systems online or call 866-989-3474. You can also download DISH Network user manuals for any DISH receiver on the DISH Systems website.

We’ve all been there. About to sit down and relax to your favorite show or game – and something goes wrong with the TV. Then you spend the next 2 hours playing 20 questions with some lady while you are missing an important program.

Well chances are it’s not the first time and it probably won’t be the last, and if you’re reading this then you’re probably staring at a static screen right now. So let’s first explore some easy fixes before you going spending the rest of the day sitting on hold, yelling at your TV.

1) The easiest fix of all it to just power off the receiver and unplug it from the electrical outlet. Wait 15 seconds, plug the receiver back into the electrical outlet, and power the receiver on.

2) If that didn’t work, think to yourself if you might have missed a bill payment. Sometimes forgotten bills will lead to a blank screen without warning.

3) Make sure all your cables are secured properly in your TV, Cable Box and DVD Player.

4) Make sure your TV is on the correct channel. Usually channel 3 or 4.

5) Make sure your remote’s batteries are working and it’s on the proper mode: Ex. Sat, Cable, TV, etc.

If you’ve done them all and are still out of luck then looks like you going to making a new friend when you call your TV provider to explain your jam. If that’s the case, good luck to you and we hope it’s an east fix.

But if it’s not an easy fix and you’ve had enough of you current TV provider, you do have an Ace up your sleeve – A company with lowest number of customer complaints in the industry and the lowest price for the most amount of channels. When you’ve had just about enough of the run around, order DISH Network at 866.989.3474 or visit Dish Systems online.

Whether you’re intimidated by new technology or can’t wait to get your hands on the latest DISH DVR companion, we’re giving you the step-by-step guide to make setup for the user-friendly Sling Adapter painless. Here are five easy to follow steps for ‘TV Everywhere’ setup and installation:

1. Make sure you have a compatible DVR at home, either the ViP 722 or ViP 722k HD DuoDVR. You can find all of the latest DVR products at DISH Systems – authorized DISH Network dealer.

2. Connect one of the mentioned compatible DVR’s to a broadband high-speed Internet service.

3. Purchase the DISH Sling Adapter for only $99 and plug in its already connected USB drive to your DVR’s USB port.

4. Download the DISH Remote Access app ASAP. The following mobile devices will be able to access the app to stream live or recorded TV: iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, 4.3-inch Android smart phones and tablets, and BlackBerry Bold 9700 and 9000 or Curve 8520 and 8900. This app can be downloaded in a variety of locations: Android marketplace, iTunes Store and on the DISH Network site (where you can download the beta Blackberry app and DISH Remote Access for your PC or laptop).

5. Log-in to the Remote Access app and start watching live or recorded television. You can also use your smart phone as a remote control to manage your DVR system at home while you’re away.

Excited about accessing ‘TV Everywhere’? I am too… You can visit DISH Systems to subscribe to DISH Network and find out if your current DVR is compatible with the new ‘TV Everywhere’ feature thanks to the Sling Adapter technology.

Ever get bummed when you’re on a trip, unwinding at the end of the night and wish you could access all of the DVR shows you’re missing right in your hotel room? DISH Network has solved this dilemma by giving its paid subscribers free access to DISHOnline and DISH Remote Access both of which can stream live or recorded DISH programming directly to your PC or laptop.

In order to use DISH Remote Access, subscribers will need to have high-speed, broadband Internet connection for their laptop and Slingbox technology. In order to manage your DVR receiver to schedule recordings and search for shows your favorite actor will appear in, you’ll need to have at least one of the following browsers set up: Safari or Safari for a mobile device, Firefox version 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 or Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0, 8.0. DISH Network subscribers also have a couple of different options when it comes to adding Slingbox technology to the TV in order to stream live programming and access your DVR:

Subscribers can purchase a new DVR with Slingbox capabilities, the most recent version being DISHSlingLoaded DVR (ViP 922), which would not require any additional hardware

Your current DVR can be upgraded to the newest DVR model that includes Slingbox technology

Add a Slingbox adapter to your current DISH DVR receiver, this would be a stand-alone product that connects the DVR to Slingbox abilities

OK, so maybe you won’t be watching TV on your laptop while playing 18 holes of golf or out on the tennis courts (and definitely not while swimming) but hey – it’s at least all possible now with DISH Remote Access!

Not traveling or walking around with your laptop, but still want to watch your favorite shows? No problem, just download DISH Remote Access as an app on your iPhone or Android phone. With these apps you’ll have all the same capabilities as you would with accessing your satellite TV programming or DISH DVR from your laptop or PC. Visit DISH Systems, authorized DISH Network retailer, to find the latest DISH specials and promos or call 866-989-3474.

DISH Network uses specialized broadband dishes to receive signals from orbiting satellites in space which transmit signals to the DISH receiver you have hooked up to your TV at home. DISH subscribers are able to receive audio and video DISH programming directly to their televisions as a result of the direct broadcast satellite provider, DISH Network. Dishes can be easily installed at a residence or an office by an authorized DISH Network local retailer, DISH Systems. As long as the dish is facing the sky at a certain angle without any obstructions or building blocking its way, the signals transmitted from the satellites will be picked up by the dish effectively to view DISH programming.

DISH Network subscribers can get free HDTV for life with the HD receiver in addition to perks much like TiVo with the DISH DVR (digital video recorder) service, allowing subscribers to pause and record satellite TV programming. There are a variety of DISH programming packages that subscribers can choose from, including access to local channels and a selection of extensive programming from just under 300 different channels.

Only way to get a good deal with cable is to bundle your services. This would be great if having a $30 or higher home phone line that you barely use was something of interest anymore. With the changing trends in technology home phones are becoming more and more obsolete. And paying $30 buck a month for something you don’t use a lot doesn’t make a whole lot of sense anymore. Take some time to consider your options before you sign up for an expensive package you don’t need.

Price – Dish Network vs Cable

When you compare DISH Network to your local cable provider, you will discover that DISH Network cost less, has better picture quality, has more program choices, and has better customer satisfaction. DISH Network TV has the lowest all-digital price in America with packages starting at $24.99 per month. DISH Network offers free cutting-edge equipment and free installation in up to four rooms. Cable TV prices across the country average can soar well over $60 per month. Average installation for one room is $39.95, plus $9.95 for each additional room. Ask questions about hidden fees before you commit to anything.

Programming – DISH Network Versus Cable

DISH Network offers over 500 channels and more than 200 HDTV (high definition TV) programming. All DISH Network channels are broadcast in digital format for the highest quality picture and sound. Many channels are broadcasted in Dolby 5.1. Cable TV in most areas offer around 120 HD Channels and 200 regular channels for higher price than Dish Network.

Equipment – DISH Network Versus Cable

With DISH Network you will receive up to 3 cutting-edge satellite receivers for free which can connect up to 6 rooms. DISH Network provides DVR and HD DVR receivers free with many promotions. DISH Network also provides dual-tuner receivers that allow independent viewing in two rooms with one receiver. With cable you need converter boxes that connect the incoming cable line to your televisions. There is usually a monthly charge or rental fee for cable boxes. Some monthly fees can get up to $15.99 for a digital video recorder or an HD converter box.

Customer Satisfaction – DISH Network Versus Cable

DISH Network outages average less than 1%. J.D. Power and Associates has ranked DISH Network higher in customer satisfaction than any of the cable TV companies for the last five years. DISH Network owns and operates 7 customer call centers in the U.S. Cable TV outages average 3% to 5% per year. J.D. Powers and Associates ranks cable companies as good to poor in customer satisfaction.

Interactive Features – DISH Network Versus Cable

DISH Network offers an in-picture electronic program guide. Also Pay Per View, DVR functionality – including the ability to record programs, rewind, fast forward and pause during viewing. Cable offers an electronic program guide, video on demand, and subscription services on demand in most areas for extra fees.

If you’re looking for more programming at a lower cost then there’s really only one choice. To find out more about Dish Network’s programming packages and pricing call 866.9889.3474 or visit Dish Systems online today.

Twas’ the night before Christmas, when all through my pad, not a creature was stirring, not even dear old dad;

The stockings were hung by the chimney with love, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be heard up above;

The children were nestled all warm in their beds, while visions of Nickelodeon in HD danced in their heads;

And mama in her jammies, dreaming of the savings, dear old dad can’t stop thinking of his NFL channel cravings;

When up on the roof there arose such a clatter, we sprang from the bed to see what was the matter;

And at the small window I caught a glimpse of our new Dish, tears sprung to my eyes, for it was my family’s one Christmas wish;

The satellite dish on the roof, against the new fallen snow, gave me hope of the new quality television, I would soon have the pleasure to know.

When what to my wandering eyes would appear, but a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,

With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew that very second that it was jolly old St. Nick.

Just as quick as Dish Network satellite beams , his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted , and called them by name:

“Now,DASHER! Now, DANCER! Now PRANCER and VIXEN! On COMET! On CUPID! On DONDER and BLITZEN!

From the East Coast to the West Coast to the Islands of Nepal, high quality HD programming, and Dish Network to all!
