DISH Network Features Premiere New Year’s Eve Programming On Multiple Channels

The end of 2011 has finally come, and as the biggest weekend for partying loomes in the near future. We thought we would give some satellite TV programming options to those who are looking to keep things a little lower key. With seemingly every major network, plus the news channels, ringing in 2012 with some kind of live special, we thought we’d give you a little help deciding who to spend your New Year with. It’s possible of course that there’s more than one thing that strikes your fancy, so hopefully santa brought you a new DVR or a Big Screen TV to enjoy all the New Years Progamming.

  • MTV New Year’s Eve 2011: Demi Lovato and Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey host, with performances by Lovato, Selena Gomez and J. Cole. Starts at 11PM on MTV.
  • New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly: Performances by Drake, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green plus a countdown of the year’s five “game changers” and an appearance by Ricky Gervais. Starts at 11PM on NBC.
  • Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest: Jenny McCarthy co-hosts, with performances by Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj and Pit Bull. 11PM on ABC.
  • American County New Year’s Eve Live: Live from Las Vegas, with performances by American Idol favorite Lauren Alaina and Rodney Atkins. Starts at 11PM on Fox.
  • Coldplay New Year’s Eve Live: An Austin City Limits Special: The English Band performs a 90-minute set in support of its third album. This starts at 11PM on CNN.
  • New Year, No Limits, and Live from San Diego: Levi LaVallee and Robbie Maddison attempt record-breaking snowmobile and motorcycle jumps respectively. Starts at 11 PM on ESPN.
  • All American New Year: Fox news hosts Megyn Kelly and Bill Hemmer host performances by Big and Rich, Trace Atkins, and the cast of “Rock of Ages.” Starts at 11PM on Fox News.
