Dancing with the Stars Recap: Celebrities Hit Both Ends of the Spectrum

September 28, 2010 No Comments

This season on one of Dish Networks satellite television shows, Dancing with the Stars, viewers have the opportunity to watch several high profile athletes, singers, actors, and reality star hopefuls try and dance their way into first place.  Last night’s Dancing with the Stars week 2 proved that just because you can sing doesn’t mean you can dance.  Accomplished R&B singer and songwriter Brandy and chart topping ballad singer Michael Bolton both left the judges unsatisfied by their performances.  Following Bolton’s jive to the tune of “Hound Dog”, the eldest judge on the panel , Len Goodman, former professional dancer and recipient of the prestigious Carl Alan Award for outstanding contributions to dance, was quick to comment that a “pooper scooper should have probably followed that performance”.  Bolton and his dance partner Chelsie Hightower received the lowest scores of the night only yielding a total of 12 points out of a possible of 30.  With Bolton ranking dead last Americas beloved 80’s icon “Baby”, Jennifer Grey wowed the judges with her jive performance confirming that 50 is the new 30. Raking in a total of 24 points out of 30 for the second week in a row. Judges continued to praise the once “Dirty Dancing” star proving her to be both a judge and fan favorite.

Here is how the night ended and the leader board stacked up:

Jennifer Grey & Derek Hough: 24
Audrina Patridge & Tony Dovolani: 23
Bristol Palin & Mark Ballas: 22
Kyle Massey & Lacey Schwimmer: 22
