Food Network takes Chefs to the Extreme

July 21, 2011 No Comments

Imagine having to cook an entire three course meal with a Swiss army knife as your only utensil…or having to extract ingredients from a block of ice? These are just a few or the arduous challenges that the contestants on ‘Extreme Chef’ are put through! In this grueling TV show, three contestants go head to head where their physical and mental limits are pushed to the edge. This series takes them out of their kitchen comfort zone to test their wits, adaptability and artistry as they must adapt to intense weather conditions, and unpredictable factors. The competitors must impress their judges and surprise guests, with their unique and adaptable cooking style in order to win the title of Extreme Chef. Here are a few episodes to look forward too.

Ice House (premieres July 21st, 2011 at 10pm): A hail storm throws the chefs into a panic as they attempt to cook in a freezing cold ice house. And to source their ingredients, they must race down ice slides and chisel through 300-pound blocks of ice.

Beach Blow out (premieres July 24th, 2011 at 2pm): Three chefs must jump off a boat and swim to a deserted island, where they’ll source the land for their food. Using only a treasure map to locate their meat and the supplies swept from the ocean, the chefs must build their own work stations and create an Oceanside delight.

Don’t miss this exciting competition and tune in to the Food Network to see who will win the title of Extreme Chef. To learn more about it, watch the video below. To add Food Network to your programming visit us at Dish Systems or call (866)989-3474. What is your favorite cooking show?
