DISH Subscribers Access HBO Go in Time for ‘Cinema Verite’ and ‘Treme’ Premieres

DISH Network, a leading satellite TV provider, has joined DirecTV and select cable TV services in providing its subscribers with access to HBO Go and MAX Go through the DISHOnline portal. DISH Network customers who have added HBO programming to their satellite TV package can choose from over 1,800 HBO and Cinemax TV series and movie titles to stream on their computer through DISHOnline. Rumor has it that HBO Go and MAX Go may be available to subscribers through compatible mobile devices in the future to truly allow viewers to take HBO shows and Cinemax movies on-the-go.

Luckily, DISH Network subscribers are able to access HBO Go and MAX Go content before the weekend of anticipated show premieres on HBO. The second season of HBO’s hit series, ‘Treme,’ chronicles a based-on-true-events story post Hurricane Katrina in a New Orleans neighborhood, starring Wendell Pierce, Melissa Leo (pictured) and John Goodman. Season two of ‘Treme’ will air Sunday, April 24 at 10pm on HBO while the HBO movie, ’Cinema Verite,’ is set to broadcast Saturday, April 23 at 9pm. The made for TV movie, ‘Cinema Verite’ will retell the behind-the-scenes story of the original reality TV series following the lives of the Loud family circa 1973.

In a recent statement about the HBO Go and MAX Go available to DISH subscribers, Dave Shull, the senior VP of programming for DISH Network said: ”DISH Network customers with an HBO or Cinemax subscription can also get new series titles after their premiere—plus bonus content including interviews, recaps and behind-the-scenes extras—none of which are available through Netflix’s online service.”
