“La Academia” Pay-Per-View Event Now Available
October 9, 2009 No CommentsWe are excited to announce that starting October 7, 2009, DISH Network is offering exclusive Pay-Per-View (PPV) coverage of the new season of the hit Mexican reality competition show “La Academia.” Only on DISH Network will viewers be able to follow all the competition of this highly-rated Spanish-language show. For just $14.99, DISH Network subscribers can get a full season of the most complete, behind-the-scenes coverage of this exciting contest.
“La Academia” is a talent competition reality show, in which 14-21 young people are selected to live together and spend their days taking classes in singing, dancing, and acting. Each Sunday night they perform songs in a three-hour concert for a live studio audience. One contestant is eliminated each week until just a few remain to compete for the grand prize – 3 million Mexican pesos. Viewers may call in each week to vote for their favorite performer. On the season finale this December, contestants from the previous six seasons will join contestants from this season on stage to close the show.
“La Academia” PPV (on PPV channels 464 and 826) will offer behind-the-scenes programming 24-hours a day, Monday through Friday of everything that happens inside of “La Casa.” Also, subscribers to DishMÉXICO and higher or the DishLATINO Bonus Pack can watch the regular Sunday night broadcast of “La Academia” on Azteca America, channel 825.
